sock |sɒk|noun    a garment for the foot and lower part of the leg, typically knitted from wool, cotton, or nylon.• a removable inner sole placed inside a shoe or boot for added warmth or to improve the fit.• a white marking on the lower part of a horse's leg, not extending as far as the knee or hock. So, being that it has been quite cold today here in Sydney, as i've got on with long overdue work i've noticed that my tootsies have been quite cold.. - (I haven't experienced this is the past year since i was home in England!) As i slipped on my thick chunky Jack Wills purple and navy collyhurst socks, it occurred to me that socks can be many things.
To some a sock might be comfort, as the pair were to me today and to others it offers help in their fashion statement. Big chunky wellington socks like the hunter ones, well i think they are a smudge of both though because i know that'd i'd love to plod around my house with a pair of them on my feet on a lazy sunday yet they would go very well with some Original Great Hunters in metallic silver! I guess the socks you wear reflect the person you are, as well as the clothes that you bare on your back. Being a cable knit lover i cannot see myself ever wearing some Corgi Hosiery socks with skulls on, but then, i choose to reflect myself with a style of English Prep.
